Conference Policies

Anti-Plagiarism Policy

ECCS has a strict anti-plagiarism policy. Submitted papers are expected to contain original work by the authors with adequate, proper, and scholarly citations to the work of others. Reviewers are responsible for ensuring these standards are met.

If an author is found to have committed plagiarism, the following sanctions may be applied:

  1. Reject the submitted paper or remove it from the final proceedings.
  2. Report the author's violation to their supervisor(s) and affiliated institution(s).
  3. Report the author's violation to the appropriate academic ethics office and/or research funding agency.

Dual/Double Submissions

By submitting a manuscript to ECCS, authors acknowledge that it has not been previously published or accepted for publication in any venue with publicly accessible papers, including journals, conferences, and workshops. As a rule of thumb, an ECCS submission should contain no more than 20% of material from previous publications. Violation of any of these conditions will lead to rejection.
